The Knightly Club
What happens after the lights go out and the bedroom door softly closes?
I’ve always believed that some stories are simply too special to fade away.
More than 35 years ago, I wrote this heartfelt, rhyming story for my own
children—originally in Swedish.
Bringing it to life in English has been a journey in itself, and I couldn’t have done it alone.
With the help of my daughter Maja, her good friend Bobby, and my sister-in-law, we finally found a translation that truly captures the spirit of the original. I’m so grateful for their support.
Today, I’m so happy to share this story again—
this time as a picture book for a new generation of grandchildren. It’s a magical nighttime adventure about a young boy who, once bedtime arrives, becomes a brave knight.
With his trusted toys by his side, he sets off on a secret fairytale quest filled with imagination and wonder.
For me, this story is a celebration of childhood dreams, the power of imagination, and the stories we pass down from one generation to the next.
It’s perfect for families—parents, grandparents, and anyone who believes the most meaningful stories are the ones that stay with us.
This is more than just a bedtime story. It’s a timeless little adventure—
and a keepsake meant to be treasured for years to come.
